Audio Loudness Meter

A fast preflight loudness check for audio files. It estimates RMS, peak, crest factor and LUFS-like loudness from decoded PCM while clearly avoiding calibrated broadcast claims.

Choose an audio file.

This tool no longer labels the estimate as LUFS. It reports RMS, sample peak and a simple silence-gated RMS screen from decoded PCM. It is useful for fast local triage, but not a certified EBU R128/ITU BS.1770 loudness meter with K-weighting, true-peak oversampling and relative gating.

FAQ

Is this EBU R128 certified?
No. It is a browser-local approximation, not a calibrated loudness meter.
